FullStory’s mission is to improve user experiences on the web. We tackle this daily by providing a platform that allows developers and product teams to automatically collect ultra high definition analytics from their sites, then make those analytics available through a powerful search engine, pixel-perfect session playback, and machine learning insights.

Platform builds the software that makes FullStory possible. As the manager of the Ingestion and Extraction team, you will lead a talented group of senior engineers to help FullStory scale and enhance its data ingestion pipeline. This is the lifeblood of FullStory, receiving analytics from tens of millions of devices each day. At tens or hundreds of thousands of requests per second, the services that power FullStory need to be rock-solid. And with such rich data, there’s huge potential to continue exposing more valuable signals and data.

While you won’t necessarily be in the code daily, the role is highly technical and you’ll have a critical voice in the direction of both our architecture as well as future team makeup. And with a fast-growing product and organization, there are lots of opportunities to make an impact.

FullStory is a remote-friendly, hyper-growth SaaS company based out of Atlanta.  We value high-quality/low-ego collaboration and use automation to eliminate toil in daily work. If that sounds good to you, join us!

Day to day you'll:

  • Help solve distributed system problems and scale data intensive systems
  • Cultivate and grow a high-performing group of engineers
  • Work with team(s) to prioritize, schedule, scope, resource, and solve problems
  • Collaborate across the engineering and product organizations to build vision and team roadmap
  • Help productivity and operations function smoothly by driving questions to conclusion and resolving blockers

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience with web systems at scale (e.g. "real-time" data pipelines)
  • Loves managing and growing teams of high-performing engineers
  • Leads technical and architectural discussions

It would be amazing if:

  • You’re an engineer at heart that brings passion and skills to deliver in management
  • You enjoy working with people, solving prioritization and resourcing issues, and thinking about the big picture
  • You have worked in SaaS environments and have opinions about both process and architecture
  • You get excited by code reviews, and use metrics, logs, and other data as part of your management approach
