Nextiva is currently seeking bright and talented individuals for a Senior DevOps Engineer position to join our expanding Business Enablement team. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can continually expand and improve on our cloud and infrastructure stack. Our ideal candidate is skilled in cloud technologies, Linux administration, infrastructure as code, and automation.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing solutions for complex problems and projects related to our business, sales, and finance applications. This role works closely with our application developers, internal business units, and other IT support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage, troubleshoot, and fix production problems in every layer of the stack
• Lead cloud infrastructure automation and operations, focusing on infrastructure as code
• Promote and utilize cloud first technologies for solutioning
• Manage security compliance and remediation for all supported systems
• Evangelize and train best practices with software and infrastructure development teams
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems and developers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud/DevOps/SRE
• Expertise with public cloud technology and common services (preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or related experience with EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc)
• Expertise building infrastructure as code and developing automation for common tasks
• Strong understanding of Linux, Ansible, BitBucket, Jenkins, Atlassian suite and/or related tools and systems
• Experience leading troubleshooting efforts on complex systems
• Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to a wide audience

Typical Office Environment: Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. May be required to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted. May be required to lift over 35 pounds using assistive device and/or team lift. Requires significant use of personal computer, phone, and general office equipment. Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects. Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
