Your Responsibilities
As a Security Engineer (Penetration Testing) on our Red Team for our Intelligent Solutions Group located in Des Moines, IA you will....
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on the technology stack used to bring automation and smart solutions to Deere vehicles
- Provide remediation strategies for vulnerabilities found
- Perform verification testing to ensure design changes remediate vulnerabilities
What Skills You Need
- Understanding of cloud solutions and architectures supporting IoT environments
- Proficiency in testing and assessment of mobile operating systems, embedded systems and/or IoT devices
- Experience with planning and executing Red Teaming exercises
- Understanding of various network, web, IoT and industrial related protocols like (TCP/UDP, HTTPS, MQTTS, automotive Ethernet, CAN, etc)
- Experience with programming languages like Python, C#, C/C++
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with AWS based solutions
What Makes You Stand Out
- Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems
- Ability to manipulate debug interfaces (UART, JTAG, etc) and peripheral buses (SPI, I2C, etc)
- Experience with vehicle embedded systems engineering
- Experience with public key encryption (PKI) in the embedded space
- Experience with embedded Linux and other Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree Cyber Security / Security Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree is a plus
