Exceptional Technical Leader to join the team that works on Financials Products Platform (FPP) in DevOps, SRE space

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an exceptional Technical Leader to join the team that works on Financials Products Platform (FPP). FPP portfolio includes Pricing, Foreign Exchange, Tax, Deposit Platform, and supporting data components. If you really enjoy Payment domain then this is your job.
Ops & Resiliency is a horizontal team which strives to provide DevOps and SRE support to all products under FPP. This includes but not limited to:
Keep the production systems healthy,
Build/Test/Release/Deploy Support,
Monitoring, triaging, incidence management, problem management,
Improve Operational Efficiency by automation and building tools,
Execute 'Support related' Software Delivery Projects

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that keep FPP applications' health with expected availability, quality SLAs
- Provide technical leadership to Pricing Live Support team during North American day time.
- Work with and drive tier II groups (L3, Product Development, Batch Operations/Job Scheduling, DBAs, SAs, DevOps, SRE etc.) to diagnose complex problems and drive resolution as quickly as possible.
- Utilize knowledge of Java, SQL, Jenkins and Process Management to gain expert knowledge of domain as well as to develop solutions to day-to-day problems to improve our effectiveness and productivity
- Able to create/revise documentation thoroughly for tactical use and training
- Follow all documented processes and procedures
- Provide timely feedback on process/procedural improvements and to improve operational efficiencies
- Debugging Java applications
- Available and provide necessary support to team wherever they required to unblock their path.
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to fine tune any product quality miss.
Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • 8+ Years of relevant experience
  • Experience on technically managing teams and work with cross functional teams.

Required Skills:
- In depth knowledge of Java JEE stack, SQL
- In depth knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies
- In depth knowledge to SRE practices
- Good UNIX/Linux, Jenkins and GIT knowledge
- Good knowledge of relational databases
- Good knowledge of logging and observability tools like Splunk, Signalfx, Kibana
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes
- Proven problem-solving skills with an emphasis on quick problem resolution.
- Ability to work in a structured technical environment utilizing a change management system
- Experience on team management and work with cross functional team to understand the problem or requirement.
- Comfortable working with remote and managed services teams

Colorado Only: The pay range for this position in Colorado starts as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus or commission if a Sales role. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary. All PayPal employees are shareholders in our Company, so equity is part of our total compensation plan. This role is also eligible for health insurance, stock purchase plans, retirement savings benefits, stock awards, life insurance and disability benefits, and paid time off for sick leave, parental leave, vacation, and PTO.
