Role Value Proposition:
This is a technical hands-on role, executing the responsibilities of a Lead Software Dev Engineer in Test for Disability Evolution. Lead SDETs is responsible for partnering with application developers and product owners, contributing to the overall planning and design, participating in code reviews, defining test scenarios, designing and implementing test automation frameworks. Should be able to select best automation design patterns, automating test cases by leveraging the existing frameworks, preparing/generating the required test data in automated way, and setting up the test infrastructure to run tests in CI/CD pipeline, executing tests in parallel and multi-thread fashion to reduce the overall cycle time and producing reports/dashboard in real-time. Should be able to assist/mentor junior resources.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex software features, and build effective automation test strategies and script design
  • Build useful tools, frameworks, and test setup to use for developing tests effectively; the goal is to minimize manual testing and for the team to write automated tests for the product
  • Programmatically write UI & API functional, Integration and Performance tests
  • Define, Implement and Enhance Continuous Testing & Continuous Integration Pipeline Jobs to execute automated test scripts
  • Prepare track specific Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Automated Functional and Performance Test Scripts
  • Other Responsibilities include Track level Test Data and Test Environment strategy , Defects Reporting-Analysis-ReTest -Closure, Production incidents analysis and continuous improvement implementation from test, data and requirements coverage perspective
  • Coordinate with all partner teams to ensure quick issue resolution for production incidents and enhancements and support biweekly/monthly PROD releases and major releases


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

  • Experience testing large scale distributed web, mobile and cloud native applications, webservices or RESTful APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development and integrating with CI/CD systems - with reliable and repeatable test results
  • Hands-on experience in using Web, Mobile an Big Data automated testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, Protractor, Cucumber, Appium, Query Surge, TOSCA, SOA Test, Microsft AzureDevOps etc.,
  • Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills
  • Experience with one or more of Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python
  • Experience in using code repositories like Git, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Experienced in Scaled Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
  • Experience with mocks/stubs, and build virtualized assets using Service Virtualization tool such as Parasoft, LISA
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills


Preferred:

  • 10+ years of IT experience as a Enterprise/SaaS Test Automation Architect/SDET
  • Hands-On Experience as a Programmer/Software Engineer
  • Insurance/Finance Industry Experience
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) model Experience/Exposure
  • Test Data Management Process/Tools
  • Exp in Continuous Integration/Testing/Delivery/Deployment and SecDevOps Culture/Tools/Implementation
  • BA Degree

The wage range for applicants for this position is [the more specific figure (for example (only): $80,000) or range within which the hiring manager reasonably expects to hire (for example (only): $70,000 - $85,000)] . The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position.
