Job Description

PayPal IAM Platform provides User Provisioning, fine grained authorization, SSO and Access Certification services to the entire organization. We invest a significant amount of time in Security Innovation to enable and maintain ZeroTrust and Least Privileged Access. The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise in the development and implementation of IAM strategy, standards, and procedures. The position will be responsible for making recommendations for improving the environment, leading projects, and troubleshooting complex issues.

Responsibilities include

  • Design and build products, services and innovative features for Identity and Access Management
  • Own functional areas and capabilities end-to-end, solve problems, engineer solutions and provide ERD to solve for enterprise scale problems in the ownership areas.
  • Work with a team of highly focused developers, managing tasks, coordinating delivery and ensuring adherence to development best practises
  • Work with stakeholders to set priorities, provide technical direction and work with peer team members to ensure goals are met
  • Provide regular updates on execution and progress, delays - ensuring an agile mindset and adapt to changes in prioritizations
  • Lead in developing Identity management integration plan, framework for internal and external applications
  • Providing guidance to access administrators on best practices for RBAC engineering
  • Lead design reviews, perform code reviews and contribute to development of automated and manual test cases
  • Keep updated with technology trends and bring new ideas and innovation to the IAM team and PayPal at large


Skill Requirement

  • 8+ years hand on experience as developer/consultant within Identity & Access Management space
  • Strong programming and logical skills with a focus on Java
  • Strong experience working on Identity Management tools like SailPoint IdentityIQ, Oracle Identity Manager or similar.
  • Experience with RBAC and with role mining or role engineering
  • Strong development skills: understanding of source code management, unit and integration tests, static code analysis, CI/CD
  • Experience deploying cloud services, monitoring, alerting and handling escalations
  • Excellent inter-personal, analytical and communication skills
  • Affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes Agile, DevOps and continuous delivery
  • Experience building connectors, workflows and integrations from an and within Identity Management solutions.
  • Hands on experience with user directories (LDAPv3) - modelling hierarchy, integrations
  • Experience with authN, authZ, SSO, SIEM and enterprise security protocols like SAML, OpenID, OAuth
  • Experience of designing Fine-grained authorization, Least privileged access mechanisms and/or Zero Trust framework
  • Understanding of SailPoint IIQ build and migration process, a big plus.
