  • Description:

    Solutions Engineering is responsible for delivering comprehensive DevOps solutions to Thomson Reuters technology teams. The candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excel at stakeholder engagement, and provide hands-on experience implementing solutions for product technology teams. In addition, the candidate will have change management, program management and analytical skills, and be a key contributor as part of the wider TR team.

    We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide leadership to a DevOps Enablement team who combines solid technical credentials while collaborating with technology and operations peers and business partners to enable product delivery teams to more quickly and efficiently embrace a DevOps culture at Thomson Reuters.

    About the Role:
  • Bring hands-on experience of key skills and knowledge to guide delivery teams through a DevOps transformation of the product lifecycle, from requirements definition, through development, and operations
  • Develop automation solutions with a team of DevOps engineers participating in embedded engagements and collaboration activities with stakeholders
  • Proactively investigate, design, configure / integrate and test process control solutions to a variety of technical problems
  • Analyze, design, and implement strategies for continuous deployments while ensuring high availability on production and pre-production systems
  • Understand how automated tests fit into the bigger picture of software delivery for building CI/CD pipelines, optimizing the execution of tests, and ensuring that the tests are regularly providing fast and reliable feedback
  • Lead team members through practices and tools enablement, including a focus on automation and defining new ways of working, along with a modern development toolset
  • Drive improvements to Developer efficiency
  • Collaborate with peers to identify priorities for enablement measured by an increase in developer efficiency
  • Review and refine solution proposals from partner Architects, ensuring all required clarity is provided for a smooth implementation and maximization of solution reuse



  • About You:
  • Have a great understanding of both coding and software design principles
  • Comfortable developing solutions in Python or equivalent languages
  • Well versed in multiple automation tools and able to properly evaluate new tools
  • Extensive experience leveraging Public Cloud services (AWS, Azure), containers services, serverless functions, and microservice architecture
  • Bring a passionate drive of DevOps, automation, and modern tooling
  • Anticipate needs and implications of decisions, proactively working to identify, clarify, and resolve issues within and outside the organization in a timely manner
  • Remove roadblocks and solve large scale problems including working with teams across all business segments
  • Have a creative ability to identify key metrics and measure results to track the DevOps transformation progress
  • Bring a disciplined approach to tracking work, leveraging Agile methodologies and tools
