As an Infrastructure Architect Manager within PNC's Enterprise Technology Hosting & Engineering organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA.

Job Description

  • Manages the research, strategic development, and implementation of platform architecture
  • Contributes to strategy development for platform architecture and creates a vision that aligns with business strategies, processes and needs.
  • Implements best practices, standards, architectural approaches and complex technical resolutions for (PA) processes.
  • Oversees quality improvement efforts in (PA); ensures that deliverables are secure, scalable and reliable through estimation and correction.
  • Manages platform architect and technical resources; uses these to deliver high quality programs to meet business requirements.

Consulting - Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Platform Architecture - Knowledge of technologies and methods to design processing mechanisms and roadmaps to execute business application systems; ability to design these roadmaps and deploy supportive interfaces for end-users to access related systems, in accordance with standards and processes.

Systems Software Infrastructure - Knowledge of software technology, and the ability to plan global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.

Target Architecture - Knowledge of methods and tools to develop a blueprint for the future state of IT; ability to develop the roadmap of it, while aligning the architecture and processes with business strategies and objectives.

Transitional Architecture - Knowledge of and ability to analyze the current IT state and to design migration paths or plans to meet the future IT needs of the enterprise.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
