Role Summary :
As a CAD Engineer you are going to be responsible for designing products using computer-aided design software applications such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor etc. You will perform a variety of mechanical engineering design tasks related to mechanical seals products that meet the needs of the business and departmental objectives of the Italian team.
Your Role :
Perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining and upgrading mechanical seals models.
Design, develop and engineer high quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools.
Produce designs that meet targets for feasibility, performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation and timing.
Interact with Sales engineers , ComOps team, Operation teams and clients, as necessary to obtain critical design information necessary to complete project within intended time frame.
Train and guide Production Engineers on engineered design.
Determine limitations, assumptions and solutions in the design and development of CAD models.
Assist in implementation of CAD engineering applications.
Keeps abreast of new developments in the field of machine tool equipment, tooling, and methods. Suggest innovative solutions when applications are feasible to improve throughput and quality.

Your Profile :
BS or BA Degree in relevant field or a technical diploma
3-5 years relevant experience
Experience in rotating machines and mechanical seals
Fluent in English and Italian
AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor knowledge and experience
Proven track record of leading and driving cost reductions in a manufacturing environment utilizing Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
Applying a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles i.e., associated tolerancing, surface finish requirements and manufacturing techniques.
Design with consideration to the aesthetics, materials, and functionality of components.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, engineering drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
Experience interpreting a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
