Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the procurement and delivery of goods and services to ensure the on-going operations at LEI.
Job Context
Coordination with existing vendors to ensure availability of material as per S&OP plan
New vendor identification and negotiation
Job Dimensions
Based at LEI, this position will directly report to Supply Chain Manager and work with Suppliers for timely arrival of Material.
Key Accountabilities
These will include:
- Schedule Preparation as per monthly plan
- Releasing of Purchase Order for Bought Out items, Processing Items as per material plan - week wise
- Experience of Purchasing Electrical Commodity.
- Follow up with the supplier for material
- Communicate supplier regarding rejection of part & arrange for the replacement
- Stock take activity – a) supplier stock verification b) Physical stock entry
- Supplier reconciliation of processing items
- Resolve supply, service and invoicing issues with vendors
- Cost Saving Activities & improvement projects
- Co-ordination with other departments to maintain smooth flow of production
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Diploma/Engineering Graduate from an AICTE affiliated university
- Minimum 6-8 years post qualification working experience in supply chain.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Computer literate with excellent command of Microsoft package and project planning tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
- Strong background in Supply chain parameters such as OTIF calculation, inventory stock maintenance
- Knowledge of ERP/Microsoft AX/SAP
- Knowledge of Import/Exports
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and OSHAS
