Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level engineering support for optical and electronic test issues in OCS production, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Set up, configure, validate, and maintain optical/electronic test equipment to ensure stable and accurate test operations aligned with Lumentum standards.
- Own and sustain test processes, monitor test data trends, and drive yield improvement and defect reduction initiatives.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), including test plan validation, pilot builds, equipment readiness, and alignment with global engineering requirements.
- Collaborate regularly with Manufacturing Engineering in Ottawa through cross-site calls to resolve issues, standardize testing methods, and drive continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation such as work instructions, test plans, process controls, and engineering change updates.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to ensure test readiness, production stability, and timely issue resolution.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare test data reports to support engineering decisions, yield analysis, and process optimization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Optics, Physics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- 5-10 years’ work experience in high technology work environment, optical and/or electronics in progressive roles.
- Knowledge and experience with manufacturing (assembly and testing) of high-end optical blades and circuit card assemblies.
- Demonstrated skills/knowledge of complex PCBAs, EDFAs and ROADMs.
- Experience in the setup and configuration of electronic and optical test sets and equipment is essential.
- Ability to work and communicate orally and in writing in English and Thai.
- Demonstrated ability to work across geographical boundaries on a worldwide basis with R&D and Manufacturing groups.
- Knowledge and experience in test and testing programming in VB6/VB.net.
- Proven ability to work without direct supervision.
- Able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills.
- Hands-on debug skills of mixed analog/digital PCBA’s and optical assemblies.
