A thorough understanding of semiconductor device physics, process operation, DRAM product specification and product/process reliability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:• MRB case management and postmortem for CAPA enhancement• Wafer level burn in monitoring and shift left to probe for coverage• RMA management and analysis for process improvement and shift left for probe coverage.• ASSM event management and fab process improvement• WLR program development to monitor fab process reliability and opportunity for improvement.• PARAM program development in NPI/HVM phase and monitor for fab process improvement.• Outgoing Quality control include wafer surface, pad performance defect improvement• New product management and customer sample deliver on time.• Problem solving and root cause analysis skills including developing systemic and specific CAPAs for New product in Qual phase and RMA.• Monitors and drives the quality metrics improvements including, OQRM and RMAs.• Monitor Global quality dashboard and report reliability metric not meeting spec and performance• Leads the analysis of multiple data sources and ensures appropriate feedback is given to customer• Working in collaboration with multiple engineering groups including Process Module Area/RDA/Manufacturing to help identify existing containment action and work towards continuous improvement action
Manage and Lead Team• Define clear performance objectives and expectations for NPI_WLR team. Provide documented performance management with formal and informal feedback, work on a plan jointly to enhance strengths and address weaknesses,• Setup proper regular or adhoc communication channel to ensure the company and department updates/passdowns/ sharing area communicated to team members as well as to receive their feedback.• Define training and development plans for TM, monitor the progress and effectiveness. Develop learn and grow opportunities for the team.• Advocate Quality culture, role modeling of Micron values• Attract top talent to the group to meet operational objectives
Education Required• Electrical or Electronics Engineering; or Materials Science and Engineering, or Physics.
Qualifications• Understanding of electrical device parameters and their relation to the fabrication process.• Understanding of statistical methods, data analysis and data mining.• Understanding of electrical failure analysis.• Understanding of CMOS or silicon based memory devices.• Understanding of semiconductor/memory chip reliability mechanisms.• Understanding of semiconductor/memory chip process flow.• Understanding in semiconductor product disposition and or reliability data collection for unplanned deviations.• Understanding in analyzing and determining the root cause of customer returns/return material authorizations (RMA).• Understanding of failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) or 8D processes.• Understanding of reliability specification like Voltage SPEC, parametric SPEC, and Reliability SPEC

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Physics
  • Thorough understanding of semiconductor device physics, process operation, and DRAM product specifications
  • Experience with wafer-level burn-in, parametric testing, and probe coverage methodologies
  • Experience developing and managing WLR and PARAM quality programs in NPI/HVM phases
  • MRB case management, RMA analysis, and outgoing quality control experience
  • Knowledge of ASSM event management and fab process improvement
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills, including developing systemic and specific CAPAs
  • Experience with FMEA or 8D problem-solving processes
  • Understanding of electrical failure analysis and electrical device parameters relation to fabrication process
  • Familiarity with semiconductor/memory chip reliability mechanisms and process flow
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sources using statistical methods, data analysis, and data mining
  • Experience monitoring and driving quality metrics (OQRM, RMAs) and reporting reliability metrics
  • Experience leading, managing, and developing a team, including performance management and training plans
