Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Bodywear as Engineer ‐ Product Design. This will be a great opportunity to Design to accomplish customer requirement, improve product performances & reduce product cost.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend development meeting, refer to development plans, discuss the design details and design using Design Software as per design instructions to get the required output with design features.
- Decide and instruct the CNC/Screen Room regarding the tools to be used to prepare the moulds/Screen in order to ensure optimum utilization of Aluminium/Frame and inspect the mould/Screen for re- usability to minimize waste and thereby meet customer requirements at the highest profitability.
- Prepare and discus the drawing with the relevant execution team, install a copy to the CAD network and submit a hard copy to CNC to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the cutting process. Or Prepare and share the positives with screen room.
- Conduct regular follow-ups regarding the cutting/preparation of moulds/Screens to ensure the availability of right moulds/Screens at the right time to the development team.
- Organize review meetings with the product developers in order to perform the required modifications.
- Preparing Drawing kits & Tech pack drawings as per the standards; incorporating requirements.
- Giving Engineering solutions to improve material drawing & ensure optimum material utilization.
- Collaborate with NPI/Garment teams for improving production process and reducing production cost.
- Attending to style introduction meetings with development engineers, pattern makers, garment techs to gather information.
- Preparing bulk Molds/screens for size set with accurate & bulk feasible design features within agreed time lines.
- Providing innovative & creative designs for concept development
- Designing projector cards, die cut patterns, DXF patterns for markers etc. to support development & production process
- Maintain design data base & design security.
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- CAD knowledge
- A complete finisher
- Ability to perform the above activities using CAD Software
