Engineer - Product Design

Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS as we are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join the team as an Engineer - Product Design. This role will enable you to design to accomplish customer requirement, improve product performances &
reduce product cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend development meetings, refer to development plans, discuss design details, and use design software as per design instructions to achieve the required output with the desired design features.
- Decide on and instruct the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and Screen Room regarding the tools to be used for preparing moulds and screens, ensuring optimum utilization of aluminium and frames. Inspect moulds and screens for reusability to minimize waste and meet customer requirements with maximum profitability.
- Prepare and discuss drawings with the relevant execution team, upload a copy to the CAD (Computer-Aided Design) network, and submit a hard copy to CNC to ensure uninterrupted functioning of the cutting process.
- Conduct regular follow-ups on cutting and the preparation of moulds and screens to ensure the availability of the right moulds and screens at the right time for the development team.
- Organize review meetings with Product Developers to carry out the required modifications.
- Prepare drawing kits and tech pack drawings according to required standards, incorporating all relevant requirements.
- Provide engineering solutions to improve material drawings and ensure optimum material utilization.
- Collaborate with NPI (New Product Introduction) and Garment teams to improve production processes and reduce production costs.
- Attend style introduction meetings with Development Engineers, Pattern Makers, and Garment Technologists to gather relevant information.
- Prepare bulk moulds and screens for size sets with accurate and bulk-feasible design features within agreed timelines.
- Provide innovative and creative designs for concept development.
- Design projector cards, die-cut patterns, DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) patterns for markers, and other items to support the development and production processes.
- Maintain the design database and ensure design data security.
Qualifications
- BSc. Degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge of CAD.
- Ability to perform the above activities using CAD software.
