Engineer to Order Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Project Management: Manage the execution of LV and MV custom drive orders on time within budget and the defined scope. Coordinate all activities related to executing the delivery of a factory/AMC/panel shop scope of supply, by allocating and following up on project tasks to accomplish all milestones Order Processing-General: Manage order processing for the renewables PG team. Can be project based or regular parts based orders. Follow order processing guidelines per ABB Policy Planning and Scheduling: Define all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans Project Execution and Control: Ensure that all jobs are delivered on time, within the defined scope and within budget. Track job performance and manages changes to the scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Perform risk management to minimize risks Stakeholder Relations: Effectively communicates appropriate information to customers and other stakeholders in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding Document Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation. Control documentation accuracy and consistency, based on inputs from engineering and production and procedures agreed with the customer Project reviews: Participate in job reviews. Compose reports and updates all required data in project control systems and SAP for management information and project analysis. Communicate progress and control issues to project management team and offers solutions Project Administrative Tasks: Perform regular monthly project administrative tasks Health, Safety and Environment (HSE): Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety and environmental policies

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Science(BS)/ Master of Science(MS) engineering degree with minimum 8 years professional experience in project management or industrial equipment manufacturing preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies and best practices
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
