Job Summary
The Senior Engineer will lead the design and development of HVAC and precision cooling products, owning complex assemblies and critical modules. This role involves driving NPDI programs, ensuring design excellence, mentoring team members, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions aligned with business goals.
Description of Essential Duties:
- Lead end-to-end design and development activities for New Product Development (NPD), VAVE, and engineering change projects.
- Own and manage complex assemblies, sub-systems, and complete product designs using Creo.
- Define and review engineering drawings, design standards, specifications, and documentation.
- Drive prototype builds, validation, and testing in collaboration with manufacturing and testing teams.
- Lead design reviews, provide technical direction, and ensure incorporation of best design practices.
- Contribute to product standardization, cost reduction (VAVE), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and associates; review their work and ensure quality and consistency.
- Plan and oversee engineering support activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) and other improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality output within specified timeframes, in collaboration with senior team members.
- Execute diverse projects and assignments, ranging from concept design to NPD, Bills of Materials (BOM), CAD modeling, detailing (using Creo Tool), and Change Orders, maintaining organizational quality standards.
- Provide accurate project estimations based on received requirements.
Required Competency:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
- 6-8 years of experience on Creo platform in Sheet metal domain is a must.
- Must be expert in 3D modelling and detailing work on Creo with experience on generating Bills of Materials.
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems, thermal management, or related applications.
- Knowledge and hands on experience of sheet metal fabrication process is must. Experience in a fabrication environment would be an added advantage.
- Must own Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
- Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized
- Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in CREO and managing modifications as required.
