Brief Job Description:
Design Engineer Mechanical
- Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD modeling using Creo and AutoCAD, with hands-on experience in creating detailed part drawings and large assemblies.
- Design mechanical and electromechanical products, systems, and subsystems based on customer requirements, functional specifications, and industry standards.
- Expertise in the design and development of sheet metal components, with a focus on manufacturing feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Responsible for end-to-end product design, including requirement gathering, concept development, detailed engineering design, material selection, design for manufacturability (DFM), prototyping, production release, and post-launch support.
- Conduct cross-functional design reviews and collaborate with teams across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to ensure successful implementation of NPD, VAVE, and VOS initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems, Product Data Management (PDM) tools, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
- Experience in engineering change management.
- Ability to perform design calculations and stress analyses, and support simulation and testing teams to validate design performance.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and ECO documentation, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement, design optimization, and cost reduction.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality design output.
