The Engineer IV, Software leads a team to design, develop, and maintain the OmniCenter platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and improve software solutions.

The Engineer IV, Software is responsible for leading at a team level while designing, developing, and maintaining the OmniCenter platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the reliability of our software solutions.


Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with product management to understand business requirements and plan products and features

  • Work as part of a team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

  • Works on significantly complex problems and provides and implements solutions that are highly creative while also regularly guiding others in their solutions

  • Leading and aiding in code reviews for fellow team members, as required

  • Create unit tests to help ensure code quality throughout the application’s life cycle

  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources once deployed

  • Continue to improve code quality by tracking, reducing and avoiding technical debt

  • Lead and coordinate efforts to successfully resolve 4th level escalations in a timely and professional manner

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Expertise in Object oriented analysis, design, and programming

  • Strong understanding of relational databases (specifically SQL Server) and experience with database design.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum methodologies

  • Good interpersonal communication skills.

  • Documented experience with mentoring and assisting junior engineers and team members

  • A can-do attitude and ability to make a positive impact to our culture

  • Ability to always put the customer first
     

Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 9+ years’ of professional experience building applications with object-oriented architecture


Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with FoxPro is preferred; however, candidates with the ability and willingness to learn FoxPro will also be considered 

  • 7+ year of Experience in C# and the .NET Framework

  • 6+ years of experience with a microservices architecture

  • 4+ years of experience in Angular 4 or above

  • 4+ years of public cloud experience

  • 1+ year of inventory / warehouse management

  • Previous experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical experience working with interfaces such as HL7, FHIR. EDI and working with PHI is a plus
