What IT Infrastructure & System Administration contributes to Cardinal Health

IT Infrastructure & System Administration develops, implements and governs standard IT policies and procedures and oversees the enterprise infrastructure. This job family assesses system health, manages system resources, and provides operational support for the organization's databases. IT Infrastructure & System Administration also manages the organization's server and storage environments and operations, including selecting and managing virtual and physical vendors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Incident Management
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Leadership skills – Capable to coordinate cross functional team in resolution of a service outage.
- Problem Solving Skills – Able to provide guidance and has Deductive reasoning to resolve problem and able to drive resolution.
- Communication Skills – Ability to interact at all layers of the organization and communicate the impact and resolution steps effectively.
- Collaboration Skills – Demonstrates openness to collaborate and mindset to innovation.
- Business Acumen – Good understanding of the business functions, business applications, and site specific requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability do technical writings and reports.
Broad knowledge base and a working knowledge of the following technologies:
- Linux, (RHEL/SUSE,CentOS), other distributions of Linux, Unix (AIX, HP, Sun),
- Storage Administration of SAN, NAS and Backup products (IBM XIV, Veritas NetBackup, Actifio, Nexenta, Brocade, EMC VNX, Isilon and DataDomain)
- Windows 2016, 2012, 2008, VMware ESX\VSphere Virtualization Technologies, and HP ProLiant ML, DL, BL Series servers
- Cisco networking, load balancers, firewalls, MPLS, BGP, and voice technologies
- Cloud Services
Knowledge of the following tools is a plus:
- Service Now
- VMware
- Splunk
- LiveAction
- Microsoft Active Directory 2008\2012
- Microsoft Clustering \ Failover Manager
- Performance Analytics / Tableau
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading cross functional teams
- Technical certifications preferred
- Technical acumen and understanding of multiple operating systems and technical platforms in Windows, Linux, network, and Storage.
