The primary purpose of this role is to design, develop, implement, and support custom enterprise security applications that protect Lowe's identity and credential management ecosystem. The Password Management team develops and maintains the enterprise platform responsible for managing the lifecycle of service account credentials, password rotation, and identity verification services used across Lowe's. As the platform continues to expand into new enterprise use cases, this role will help design new capabilities, modernize existing applications, integrate with enterprise systems, and deliver secure, scalable solutions that improve automation, user experience, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise security applications that support password management, credential lifecycle management, identity verification, and other enterprise authentication services.
- Translate business requirements into scalable application designs, software components, APIs, and secure solutions that support enterprise-wide security initiatives.
- Develop, configure, and enhance frontend and backend applications using modern programming languages and frameworks, with Java and React experience preferred.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, middleware, and integrations with enterprise identity, authentication, and security platforms.
- Apply secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure applications are resilient against security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop automated testing using test-driven and behavior-driven development practices to ensure application quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions for complex technical problems.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation processes to improve deployment quality, speed, and consistency.
- Collaborate with Information Security, Engineering, Infrastructure, and business partners to design and implement secure enterprise solutions.
- Support security assessments, vulnerability remediation efforts, and the implementation of security enhancements within custom applications.
- Create reusable libraries, shared components, and technical documentation to improve development efficiency and consistency across the team.
- Remain current with emerging software development practices, identity and access management technologies, and cybersecurity trends to continuously improve enterprise solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- Experience with secure coding practices, source control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- 2 Years Experience in software development or application engineering
- Experience developing enterprise applications using modern software development practices, including Agile and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience developing frontend, backend, or API-based applications using object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with secure coding practices, source control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical business partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree Computer Science, CIS, Business Administration, or related field
- 2 Years Experience with Java, React, Spring Boot, REST APIs, relational databases, and Git.
- Experience integrating applications with Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, directory services, or enterprise security platforms
- Experience developing applications that manage credentials, secrets, passwords, certificates, or identity verification workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms, container technologies, DevOps automation, and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience writing technical documentation and developing reusable software components

- 2 Years experience with technical documentation in a software development environment
- 2 Years experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- 2 Years experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
- Experience with Cloud technologies
- Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, PCI ISA, CRISC, CISA, OSCP, GPen)
