The Global Merchandising Solution Delivery organization develops the software and systems that determine where millions of products will move around the globe to our stores each day. As a Test Automation Engineer-II on the Global Buying Tools ART, you will impact the quality of our core store Buying systems within TJX. You will be responsible for increasing Automation testing coverage for our applications while following industry level standards and best practices. You would be scripting and maintaining library of test cases, execute QA testing, manage defects, and present results to Product Owners and Engineering leadership at ART (Agile release train) level.

We are seeking a motivated, talented, experienced Engineer-II who can perform testing of medium to high complexity to ensure that systems are implemented and function as designed. They will partner and collaborate with project team members and the business to design/develop/execute testing strategies.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to automation efforts for all major product releases, ensuring robust coverage and efficient execution.
- Develop and implement test automation strategies, frameworks, and scripts for complex, integrated systems, including cloud implementations, web applications, desktop applications, APIs, and databases.
- Analyze test results, debug failures, and report defects using industry-standard tools.
- Set standards for automation, maintain a library of automated test cases, manage defects, and present results to stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence by integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into the software development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks and processes, adopting emerging technologies and methodologies.
- Support deployment activities, create test data, and ensure operational readiness for new features.
- Drive efficiency and quality by championing automation adoption and best practices across teams.
- Champion best practices in DevSecOps, code quality, and performance, ensuring automation suites meet all non-functional requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience as an Automation Engineer, with a proven track record in implementing robust automation test suites.
- Experience with a programming language Java / C# and automation tools like Selenium
- Proficient in software testing life cycle, testing methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence and HP/ALM and Zephyr
- Proven ability in creating and executing medium to high complexity test cases both manually and/or by automation
- Proven experience in creating complex test plans utilizing Features, User Stories, and technical design documentation
- Proven ability to perform defect management inclusive of triage and reporting
Must have technical skills
- Experience in Web application testing and API testing
- Experience with relational databases, including constructing SQL queries
- Automated test development using scripting languages - C# or Java
- Test Automation Framework development and implementation –Cucumber JVM with Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, REST Assured
- Experience on Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment using various DevOps tools – Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Groovy, Hermes etc.
- Experience in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Test Driven Development (TDD), and Automated Testing in large-scale enterprise environments
Good to have technical skills
- Any exposure to TOSCA as a test automation tool
- Azure cloud exposure
- Exposure to No SQL databases like Cosmos
- Experience working in cross geographical agile scrum teams
