Vehicle Engineer: Work on the development of vehicles used by customers around the world. The position requires a passion for vehicles and the desire to work with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment to bring new and exciting products to market.
- Support the design process for vehicle related components and systems from connect to production.
- Transform market requirements into system, subsystem and component specifications.
- Perform project related assignments and work directly with all functions of the organization to ensure project success with respect to Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Ensure technical rigors for all projects assigned (Specification, DFMEA, DVP, APQP, and Technical Design Reviews).
- Utilize PTC Creo to design & develop mechanical components and subsystems to Club Car specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) and to incorporate designs into manufacturing processes.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Plastics Engineering Technology, or equivalent is required.
Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience is recommended.
- Continuously raise your level of leadership, authority, and influence.
- Proficient at identifying project/subsystem risks and developing/executing subsequent mitigation plans.
- The right individual will be self-motivated, a strong collaborator, able to think creatively and work with others to find solutions, drive execution, and focus on results.
- Strong passion to teach and grow capabilities of the company.
- Expert in technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Employs “best” solution to problem rather than most evident (considers business impact to other departments as well as technical requirements).
- High capability in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
- This position may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.
- Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
