PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $250,000.00-$300,000.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $200,000.00 - $350,000.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As Vice President of Agile Product Management, you’ll shape how product management works across BECU and strengthen the connection between enterprise strategy and execution. You’ll establish the lifecycle, operating model, governance, tools, and standards that enable consistent and effective product practices. By leading product coaches, guiding product leaders across the organization, and partnering with senior leaders, you’ll help maintain the enterprise product roadmap, address cross-product dependencies, and improve product execution outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Shape the Product Management Function: Lead BECU’s enterprise product management function, including the product management lifecycle, operating model, governance, tools, processes, controls, and continuous improvement practices.

• Coach and Develop Talent: Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to support employee growth and performance, and meet with staff in a timely manner to conduct performance evaluations.

• Build Consistent Standards: Implement and oversee product management standards across BECU to strengthen role clarity, product maturity, execution discipline, and the effectiveness of product leaders.

• Guide the Enterprise Roadmap: Drive the creation and ongoing maintenance of the BECU-level product roadmap, aligning it with enterprise strategy, portfolio priorities, product plans, technology capacity, and execution commitments.

• Grow Product Leadership: Identify enterprise product leadership needs, define roles, hire talent, support onboarding, and continuously coach product leaders.

• Lead Through Influence: Develop a team of product coaches while providing matrix leadership and dotted-line accountability for product leaders across BECU.

• Resolve Enterprise Constraints: Implement processes to identify, escalate, and resolve dependencies, issues, risks, capacity constraints, and tradeoffs that affect product execution or strategic outcomes.

• Strengthen Cross-Product Decisions: Establish and lead a Product Council that improves alignment, strengthens decision-making, and resolves tactical and strategic execution issues.

• Connect Plans and Priorities: Integrate product roadmaps, dependencies, funding decisions, and delivery plans in partnership with business, technology, portfolio, finance, risk, and senior leadership stakeholders.

• Advise Senior Leaders: Provide regular updates and recommendations to executive and senior leadership forums on product roadmap progress, execution risks, capacity challenges, issue resolution, and priority changes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, product management, related field, or equivalent work or educational experience required.

10 years of experience building, deploying, or leading products, including experience in product management, project or program management, engineering or technology delivery, or equivalent roles.

10 years of people leadership experience, including experience leading senior professionals and influencing teams in a matrixed environment.

5 years of broad product management experience required, including accountability beyond product owner responsibilities and experience overseeing multiple scrum or agile teams.

Experience leading product management practices, operating models, governance forums, or product transformations across a large, complex organization.

Willing to travel up to 15% to the headquarters In Tukwila, if not based in Seattle.

Desired Qualifications

This job is remote or hybrid, but preference is that you reside in the following states: Washington, Idaho, Oregon, California, Arizona, Georgia, North California, South Carolina, Texas or Virginia.

Advanced degree

Experience in financial services, credit unions, banking, or other highly regulated environments.

Experience leading a significant product transformation.

Strong understanding of agile delivery, technology capacity planning, product roadmaps, portfolio alignment, dependency management, and enterprise execution.

Proven ability to influence executives, senior leaders, technology leaders, and cross-functional partners to align priorities, resolve tradeoffs, and drive enterprise outcomes.

Excellent communication, executive presence, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills required, including the ability to communicate complex product, capacity, and execution topics to executive and technology leaders.
