As an Engineer II - Software Development at Accelya, you will independently deliver software features and service solutions, building scalable, reliable, and well-tested systems that support Accelya's 200+ airline customers worldwide.
Duties & Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deliver features supporting airline ticketing workflows, including issuance, voids, refunds, exchanges, and ancillary documents.
- Build and enhance cloud-native services and data pipelines on AWS for transaction processing and industry settlement reporting.
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems by transforming them into cloud-native architectures while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and feature parity through rigorous testing.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues end-to-end and lead root cause analysis with clear, evidence-based findings.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, investigation, solution design, code reviews, and test creation, while rigorously validating outputs.
- 3+ years (Mid-level) or 6+ years (Senior-level) of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS, including services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and serverless/event-driven architectures.
- Practical knowledge of AI and LLM-based development tools, with demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants effectively in software development.
- Strong expertise in C#/.NET for developing and maintaining production-grade services and APIs.
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and regression testing) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and handling sensitive data, including payment card and personal information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work US shift hours.
- Working knowledge of C++ and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
- Experience in the airline, travel, payments, or financial transaction domains.
