The Role: Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering
Our manufacturing plant in Kulim is seeking an Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background and hands-on experience to ensure smooth production operations, optimize manufacturing systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes by designing and conducting analysis programs, applying knowledge of product design and fabrication, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow analysis, space planning, and equipment layout design. Ensure product and process quality by establishing testing methods, validating process capabilities, and setting standards.
• Provide data-driven insights for manufacturing decisions and risk-based solutions to minimize production issues and meet On-Time Shipment (OTS) targets. Prepare detailed reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing trends.
• Led the CIP project focused on boosting productivity and reducing scrap to achieve plant KPIs.
• Periodically review the product process cycle time during cost roll revisions to accurately reflect profit and loss.
• Lead FMEA development and updates for assigned manufacturing processes to ensure accurate risk evaluation and mitigation.
• Review specifications and implement changes for inquiries and project work under the guidance of the lead engineer and/or manager.
• Apply knowledge of machine processes and experience in high-volume manufacturing to achieve significant gains in cost efficiency, speed, and product consistency.
• Coordinate projects, including analysis, meetings, and reporting, ensuring timely and effective execution.

• Develop proficiency in generating MES WIP product flow step maps for new part numbers, verifying production orders, and performing system-level troubleshooting across all part numbers.
• Adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive process improvements (preferred).
• Demonstrate flexibility, quick learning, and openness to new tasks and processes.
• Experience in customer CAR 8D report writing is an added advantage.
What We Seek:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to manufacturing and production processes. For Senior engineer, minimum 5-7 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
• Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Process FMEA and Control Plan development.
