Overview of the Position:

Oversee all engineering and sourcing requirements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design of commercial aircraft aftermarket parts by reverse engineering.
  • If required incumbent may use standard measurement tools such as a micrometer or caliper to gather dimensional data.
  • Create 3D CAD models and dimensional data reports from reverse engineering data.
  • Create manufacturing drawings of aftermarket parts from dimensional reports, material analysis, and available technical data.
  • Manage multiple reverse engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Create reports and data packages to be submitted to the FAA for certification.

 

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience preferred.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
