Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Yield Enhancement Engineer to join our dynamic semiconductor manufacturing team. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a background in wafer fabrication and a keen interest in test and failure analysis. You will play a key role in improving product yield, analyzing process and test data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze wafer process data to identify yield improvement opportunities.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis on defective wafers and devices.
- Collaborate with process engineers and cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain scripts or software tools to automate data analysis and reporting.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to engineering and management teams.
- Support new product introduction and process optimization projects.
- Participate in regular yield review meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer processing, or yield engineering (internships and academic projects count).
- Basic understanding of wafer fabrication processes and semiconductor device physics.
- Experience or coursework in failure analysis techniques (e.g. electron microscopy, elemental spectroscopy, electrical testing at wafer/assembly).
- Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and yield management systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, VBA, SQL or similar) for data analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI/JMP) and/or machine learning.
- Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and safety procedures.
