About the Role

The person in position will be responsible for doing manual testing (Automation – optional) for next generation telematics platform, create, execute and maintain test cases/suite and report the SW defects and add value to the test strategy for platform.


What You Will Do

  • Test case creation and Software level Validation(grey/white) for telematics domain.
  • Should have Experienced in testing automotive Sub-Domains: CAN, Diagnostics (UDS, DoIP), Cyber Security, ECU flashing, Infotainment, Telematics.
  • API testing and test using D-bus commands.
  • Should have Experienced in application, software and system level testing.
  • Should have good experience in Verification & Validation Techniques.
  • Responsible for creating and executing test plans for design verification, software qualification testing (SWE6 – ASPICE)
  • Work with both a local lead and remote teams on debugging issues
  • Provide real time status for the current tasks and report weekly/daily activities.
  • Responsibilities also include working with design engineers to analyze and troubleshoot problems, interpreting different specifications and product requirements, organizing test results, compiling, and presenting test reports, and logging defects into the defect tracking system.
  • Create/Update documentation for the testing procedures.
  • Participate in test validation review sessions, weekly meeting, project sync.
  • Act according to the standards of the automotive industry and in-car applications 

What You Need

  • 4 to 6 years of experience as a Test Engineer in Automotive (Preferable) - CAN, CAN-TS, UDS, DoIP is must or Security Testing.
  • Proficiently to analyze software (SRS) & technical requirements and create test cases, also add value to the test strategy.
  • Linux experience (low-medium level, Virtual Machine, etc)
  • Experience with Test management tools, Test execution tools, and Project Management tools
  • Experience with eSIM/Telephony, Cyber Security and connectivity is a plus.
  • HW setup knowledge, also Telematic/Infotainment system is good to have.

What is Nice to Have

  • ISTQB Certified
  • Knowledge of Automotive Testing Standard (A-SPICE)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations.
  • Some experience in Programming/Scripting (one or more languages from: Python, C#, Perl)
  • Knowledge of virtual test environment
  • Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
