Requisition SummarySilicon Labs is seeking an Engineer I – Software QA with 2–4 years of experience to validate embedded and wireless software solutions. This role focuses on developing the automation framework for Bluetooth Classic and BLE using Embedded C.
- Design and develop test frameworks for Bluetooth/BLE Audio Profiles using Embedded C and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, framework architecture, and support NPI activities.
- Develop automated test frameworks for parsing and validating OTA logs to support Bluetooth and BLE Audio profile validation.
- Validate Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol stacks, including GAP, GATT, L2CAP, and associated profiles.
- Perform protocol-level testing using Bluetooth analyzers such as Ellisys, Frontline, and Teledyne LeCroy.
- Review and debug firmware to identify and resolve root cause issues at the Host and Controller levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of experience in embedded development domain.
- Strong experience with Embedded C and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Linux internals and SPI/SDIO/UART interface.
- Hands-on experience in Bluetooth and BLE systems.
- Familiarity with hardware debug tools (JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers).
- Experience with GitHub and defect tracking tools.
- Embedded C – ability to develop test frameworks, analyze code, and debug embedded firmware
- Python – strong scripting and automation skills
- Bluetooth (Classic) – Understanding protocol architecture, profiles call flow.
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) – GAP, GATT, BLE Audio profiles, and protocol validation
