Key Responsibilities
- Core Development: Design, code, test, and deploy clean, maintainable backend services and APIs for our data center management platform using Java.
- Infrastructure Integration: Develop and optimize components that interface with data center hardware, ensuring reliable data ingestion, device monitoring, and system alerts.
- System Optimization: Participate in application architecture evaluation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of high-throughput, low-latency technical issues.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and QA to align on requirements and deliver features within agile sprints.
- Code Quality: Conduct and participate in constructive code reviews to maintain high coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Modern Engineering: Actively leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) into daily workflows to optimize code generation, debugging, and productivity.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, primarily focused on backend Java development.
- Domain Knowledge: Prior experience or strong familiarity with Data Center Management Systems (DCIM), infrastructure monitoring software, or enterprise-level network management platforms is a plus.
- Java Core: Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11/17 or higher), including a deep understanding of OOP concepts, multi-threading, high-concurrency, and memory management.
- Frameworks: Extensive experience with SpringBoot and the broader Spring ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
- Databases: Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA. Familiarity with TimescaleDB or InfluxDB (for time-series data) is a major plus.
- CI/CD & Tools: Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Linux/Ubuntu environments.
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Familiarity with data center/hardware communication protocols (e.g., SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, IPMI).
- Proven capability in leveraging AI developer tools effectively to improve code quality and delivery speed.
- Prior experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
Soft Skills & "Below-the-Waterline" Attributes
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a methodical approach to resolving intricate technical challenges and infrastructure edge cases.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly within a team.
