UCT is looking for a talented Engineer I to join us in Philippines!

Job Summary:

The Customer Quality Engineer I supports customer quality activities by coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to address quality concerns, support problem resolution, and ensure customer requirements are met. The role is responsible for supporting quality documentation, customer submissions, quality data analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up of customer-related quality activities. The CQE I also participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and other quality programs to help maintain and improve customer satisfaction and product quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation, review, and submission of customer quality documentation in accordance with customer and company requirements.
• Support customer and internal quality activities, including First Article Inspection,Product Quality Report, Receiving Inspection documentation, Manufacturing
• Record Book, Quality System Compliance, SPOT Audits, and other assigned quality activities.
• Monitor and follow up on quality-related activities, action items, and deliverables to ensure timely completion and closure.
• Support the setup, review, and maintenance of quality-related information in company systems such as MES and Agile.
• Assist in the investigation and analysis of customer quality issues, including Quality Notifications, and coordinate with relevant departments to support root cause and corrective actions.
• Collect, prepare, and report quality data and status updates to support monitoring of customer quality performance.
• Coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams to obtain required information, communicate quality-related concerns, and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Maintain accurate and timely quality records, documentation, and reports in accordance with applicable customer and company requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and support initiatives to improve
• product and process quality.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work across different schedules and shifts as required by business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and problem-solving methods.
• Understanding of customer quality requirements, specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements.
• Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and support root cause analysis.
• Ability to prepare, review, and maintain quality documentation and reports.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple quality-related activities within required timelines.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and tools such as MES, Agile, SAP and other
• applicable company systems.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of customer-specific requirements and quality processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field required.

Experience Requirement:

• One (1) year or more of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
