Job Description

  • Uptime performance:  Technical Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) for chronic and recurring machine failures.
  • Improve MTBF:  Update existing trouble shooting guides and PM procedures and techniques.
  • Spending:  Focal person to handle spare parts and cost reduction initiatives. 
  • Project management:  Engineer in-charge for Automation and other related projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Test and approve new equipment before handing off to production.
  • Perform equipment upgrades, as need.
  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions.
  • Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability.
  • Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment failures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain documentations for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.
  • Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for technicians and/or operator as needed.
  • Act as primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns.
     

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in related field e.g. Electrical and Mechanical
  • Advanced skills in PLC and motor controls  
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and solid works 
  • Above average computer skill e.g. Hardware and Software Concepts, Word Processing

 
PREFERRED:

  • PRC license 

 
SKILLS:

  • Effectively and safely use the tools and equipment (DMM, pH & conductivity meters, calipers, etc.) of the trade or craft of expertise.
  • Read, listen, understand and follow oral and written instruction including but not limited to technical manuals, charts and terms related to the trade or craft.
  • Be able to work well with people; be courteous to operators and line leaders and use only appropriate language and behaviors.
  • Must be honest, trustworthy and motivated to do timely and good quality work without close supervision.
  • Be punctual and consistent in work habits and attendance.
  • Must be willing to occasionally work unusual hours in crisis situations.
