Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced engineer interested in working alongside cross-functional teams of professionals, with a focus on project management, execution, and factory wide initiatives. The key focus will be planning and execution of equipment move-in and start-up of a new Semiconductor factory. This position incorporates macro level planning for overall project to align several different departments and stakeholders across the company.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Support expansion planning, including forecasting of the budgeting, installation and qualification of equipment.

  • Coordinate, manage, and report on multiple assigned projects regarding work progress, project accounting, and forecasted schedule.

  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.

  • Solve problems: assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/ or resolve the problem.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

  • Measure project performance, report and escalate to management as needed.

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

  • Creates and updates project scope for complex individual projects.

  • Setup timelines/schedules & present to the customer.

  • Develops & maintains necessary records & files for efficient operation.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • 4 Year degree in STEM.

  • 6+ years of experience in facilities or high-volume manufacturing.

  • Experience with project management is preferred.

  • Industrial equipment hook-up experience highly preferred.

  • Factory start-up / retrofit experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills are required to communicate technical content to various organizations.

  • Successful candidates should be detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility.

The current base salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
