The Product Cyber Security Engineer specializes in designing and developing security features of products including systems, applications and/or solutions. Ensures the security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle. Integrates new security features, updates into existing products, and resolves integration and testing issues.

General Responsibilities

  • Performs security assessments of company products, which may include vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities.

  • Contributes to the design and development of security features for products, including systems, applications, and/or solutions.

  • Integrates new security features and updates into existing products and helps ensure product security is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Provides product security engineering input and supports the resolution of integration and testing issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Supports the development and maintenance of a standardized set of security product requirements and helps produce metrics to report performance against those requirements.

  • Helps develop and maintain security diagnostics and tools to facilitate the analysis and reporting of security events.

  • Identifies and helps mitigate security risks, supports response to product security incidents, and works with customers on product security–related issues as needed.

  • Participates in security architecture and design review meetings.

  • Supports the detection and triage of cyber threats and incidents involving customers or third-party partners to assess potential impacts on Sensata products.
     

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
