The Opportunity

Allegro is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Quality Engineer to manage external quality issues (COMP - Customer Complaints) and customer audit processes. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness of our corrective actions, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining strong customer relationships through clear communication and robust quality management. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives on problem-solving, has a deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, and is passionate about upholding the highest quality standards.

What You Will Do

  • Manage External Quality Issues (COMP):

    • Review, write, and update 8D reports, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and effectively address customer complaints.

    • Collaborate with the Quality Manufacturing Engineering (QME) team and other support groups to develop and implement appropriate and immediate containment actions for COMP issues.

    • Rigorously review 8D reports, specifically the action items, to assess their effectiveness and adequacy in addressing the root cause(s) of the COMP issue, driving sustainable solutions.

  • Lead Customer Audit Management:

    • Coordinate seamlessly with the AMPI (Allegro MicroSystems Philippines, Inc.) team during the preparation, actual conduct, and post-audit activities for customer audits.

    • Track and diligently follow through on action items stemming from audit observations and/or findings to ensure timely and effective closure.

    • Provide essential data analysis support on customer audit findings, contributing to comprehensive responses and continuous improvement.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement & Communication:

    • Create, monitor, and update AMPI's Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) that is shared with selected customers, demonstrating our commitment to ongoing enhancement.

    • Develop compelling presentations to help external customers understand issue root causes and the actions implemented, fostering transparency and trust.

    • Support other group Quality Activities, such as 5S, and actively participate in other Quality or Company Programs, promoting a culture of excellence.

What Will You Bring?

  • A Graduate of any Engineering Degree, preferably Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical, with the exception of Civil Engineering.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the semiconductor assembly/test or a closely related industry.

  • Proficiency in core quality tools including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, SPC (Statistical Process Control), Basic & Advanced Statistics, 8D (Eight Disciplines Problem Solving), Root Cause Analysis, and other Problem Solving Tools.

  • Solid understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) fundamentals.

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and other relevant computer applications.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal.

  • Knowledgeable in Assembly and Test Measuring and Test Equipment.

  • Strong Product & Process Knowledge within the semiconductor domain.
