Job Purpose
To lead the contribution towards engineering function in LEI plant manufacturing various products for secondary distribution network, with special focus on application engineering, customer drawings, approvals & wiring deliverables to production.

Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of Schematic drawings(Power Circuit, Control Circuit, Auxiliary Circuits and Terminal details),Assembling drawings(General arrangement, Foundation Details, Cross section and Instrument arrangement)
- Co-ordination with Marketing/tendering dept, Quality Dept, Fabrication Dept, Production Dept., Stores & Customer for preparation of drawings & smooth execution
- Knowledge of and experience with power distribution system fundamentals such as Fault current calculation, Electrical/Mechanical interlocking designing, Current/Voltage protection functions, Busbar size calculations, Load calculation, Numerical Relay selection as per protection parameter requirement,
- Selection of Current Transformer and Potential Transformer
- Study of Project Specifications, BOM, SLD & Designing the general arrangement of Medium Voltage Switchgear Panels.
- Co-ordination with marketing team and if necessary with customer also for technical clarity of project.
- Handled Busbar size calculations and Relay selection
- Selection of Current Transformer and Potential Transformer specification (Ratio, VA Burden, etc.)
- Load calculation for Auxiliary supply sources.
- Knowledge of various Line Protection, Transformer protection, Transformer Differential Protection
- Visit at Customer Places for drawings approval
- Team building & co-ordination with IEC multiple teams for accurate & on-time outputs for AEGIS family
Qualifications, Experience & Skills

- MS Office
- Minimum MV Switchgear Experience of 2-4 years
- Application engineering experience of schematic/SLD diagrams is must

Responsibilities:
1) Process Design Engineering: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.
2) Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
3) Engineering Standards Specification: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.
4) Engineering Inspections: Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
5) Contract Management: Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.
6) Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
7) Knowledge Management System: Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
8) Product and Solution Development: Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products.
9) Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
10) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
General Experience Requirement: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)
Managerial Experience Requirement: Very limited (0 to 3 months)
Skills Required
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent bachelor's degree
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Minimum 2-4 years of medium-voltage switchgear experience
- Application engineering experience with schematic and single-line diagrams
- Knowledge of power distribution systems, protection functions, fault-current calculations, busbar sizing, load calculations, and relay selection
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers
- Good communication and collaboration skills
