The Configuration Management Services team is responsible for providing GE customers the right Spare Parts for new built units (New Unit Initial Spare Part List) as well for Outage planning (Outage Spare Part List).Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Support the outage planning for different standard inspections for GT13E2 and GT26 gas turbines by providing config reports and recommended spare parts lists based on the unit history and inspection type.
 This includes updating the as-maintained unit BoMs in Matplan, create an inspection planning in Matplan and validate parts to be quoted from a technical perspective.
 
- Ensure that the spare parts are created in PLM and PMx and validate the availability of the items in PMx.
 
- Update existing spare parts lists according to as-maintained documentation.
 
- Support Sales and Commercial managers when negotiating with customers for the scope covered in this position.
 
- Support RCA/CA initiatives for NCR investigations.
 
- Provide support to internal and external customers for sales initiatives.
- Continuously improve the processes and tools related to recommended spare part list creation.
 
- Support the creation and maintenance of Work Instructions, Standard Work & trainings for recommended spare part list creation process.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience in the GT13E2 and GT26 Technology and/or in the GT13E2 and GT26 Configuration Management field
- Profound knowledge of GTCC PLM and PMx
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Mechanics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a completed technical apprenticeship with relevant engineering experience
Desired Characteristics
- Experience that would demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of GT13E2 and GT26 Gas Turbine technology (e.g. fleet management, configuration management, design engineer, application engineer, outage engineer, or other supporting engineering roles)
- Ability to quickly and effectively learn business operating systems
- Utilizes initiative and independent judgment in the performance of daily work tasks
- Ability to communicate and integrate across functions within the business
- Detail-oriented, organized, conscientious team player with strong sense of ownership
- Strong computer skills (Excel and SAP)
- Ready to learn, energetic and be proactive
- Fluent in English, other languages are an asset
