Job Summary
Responsible for participating as an technical expert in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to new products implementation, implementing existing products and services and providing the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, Engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. May direct workflow and act as a technical lead. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all but the most complex issues. Performs maintenance activities with a minimum of supervision and guidance. Leads technical outage bridges and engages appropriate resources to drive issues to closure.
  • Acts as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies and processes. Ensures projects and initiatives are adhering to Company standards.
  • Tracks and reports operational workflows; maintains records of results and feedback. Analyzes data and metrics, identifies problem areas and provides actionable insight.
  • Analyses problems in design, configuration, data flow and data state within a highly complex multi-product provisioning system.
  • Performs routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering and ensures all maintenance is properly validated to minimize impact.
  • Provide excellent customer service to existing customers and act as a product evangelist for prospective customers.
  • Attains industry standard certifications and education.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Requirements
  • Expert-level Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Production-level experience managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and Docker containerized environments
  • Good proficiency with observability platforms: Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic Stack (or equivalent solutions) and distributed tracing systems.
  • Good proficiency in Python or Go and Shell scripting for automation and system management.
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Good understanding of metrics, logs, and traces architecture in distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with private and public cloud platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of IT/DevOps operations experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments (onsite and remote)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor technical messaging for diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with track record of optimizing complex systems
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence) for scaling development practices
