This job is responsible for a variety of complex economic evaluation and planning duties to support corporate planning, and quality control of justification for capital and expense expenditures. The role provides analysis support for department managers and participates in special projects, preparing data as necessary. The employee has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline; usually determines own work priorities; and acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development of strategic plans for existing, new, or proposed business operations.
- Provides analysis and evaluation of cost/expense problems and improvement opportunities existing within current business activities.
- Recommends changes in analysis and methods and procedures; analyzes the impact of various corporate projects and transactions.
- Analyzes and communicates weekly metrics, monthly results, quarterly and annual projections.
- Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures.
- Tracks and analyzes key financial metrics and operational procedures to foster process improvements. Drives operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Analyze, review, and modify large data sets using various databases and querying solutions to be able to project financial and resources implications
- Evaluates financial risks and opportunities by creating and reviewing operational and financial metrics.
- Assists with the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports.
- Analyzes variances to budget and forecast using operational and financial metrics, and reports findings.
- Prepare and distribute organizational reports and analysis to support the monthly, quarterly and year-end operational and financial close processes to ensure that statements are accurate and complete in all aspects.
- Prepare and analyze monthly invoices and accruals to ensure accuracy to financial statements and reporting, which includes the research, resolution and communication of any potential issues or misstatements.
- Assist in process improvement and standardization projects by identifying risk areas and recommendation for improvements.
- Reviews and audits resource information and develop a process to streamline the efforts in the research, analysis, and tracking in this area.
- Perform various ad hoc projects including researching, analyzing and summarizing data/analysis requests as assigned.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telecommunications industry and/or public accounting or similar work environment.
- Strong analytical skills - Ability to manage work with large data sets
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of Essbase and experience with Oracle
- Strong knowledge of database tools (Teradata, SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Power Automate, Power BI, Word, and Outlook)

Salary:
Colorado Pay Range: $78,505.90 - $117,758.85
Additional Range: This job can be performed in Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington with a Pay Range of $71,369.00 - $133,816.87. This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $64,232.10 USD - $118,948.33.
