As an Engineer 2, Customer Order Engineering - Mechanical, you are responsible for contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. It includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Will work include mechanical engineering for all products
- Resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
- Working together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
- Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
Have minimum 0 to 3 years of industrial experience in mechanical equipment design and application, - Understand thermodynamics, rotodynamic, materials of turbomachinery product.
- Product knowledge on centrifugal compressor or candidate worked with BH as intern is added advantage.
- Able to demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with cad modelling along with GD&T, FEA, programming.
- Able to work in experienced people team giving an active contribution to the design and decision-making process.
- Have an open approach to problem solving and expanding the current theory to fill the gaps.
- Have experience and background in manufacturing/reliability/material science is a plus.
- Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding or cutting etc is a plus.
- Executes, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements.
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
- Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
- Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
- Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
- Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
