Re:Car is a new US company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.

Who we are looking for:
Re: Car is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced HV Battery Systems Senior Manager to join our growing Propulsion Systems team. This Manager level role will lead the design and development of a new architecture HV Battery System.

What you get to do:

  • Manage the engineering development process for high voltage battery products, bringing together a cross-functional engineering team including battery systems, mechanical & electrical hardware, embedded software, prototype build, test & validation and manufacturing engineering.
  • Develop and maintain product development timelines, resources and budget requirements.
  • Drive engineering activities at the high voltage battery product level in accordance with the development timeline, work with HV Architecture Lead on requirements definition, responsible for supplier selection, design release, prototyping, engineering testing, process development, DV & PV testing, APQP, etc.
  • Drive key decisions (technical, project timing, supplier decisions, change management, etc.) that impact system delivery.
  • Develop and maintain the high voltage battery roadmap (including variants, product improvements, supplier changes, etc.) and impacts on technical specifications, validation testing, manufacturing, cost, etc.
  • Lead Battery suppliers through technical development to PPAP and into production.

What you bring to the team:

  • 10+ Years of experience in Automotive product development and Electrification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related fields
  • Self-motivated, with strong communications and leadership skills.
  • 5+ years of people & project management experience as an engineering manager.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in xEV components, principles, operation, and vehicle electrification technology.
  • Consistent record of engineering projects related to testing or simulation of xEVs and their systems & components such as batteries, and/or charging systems.
  • Knowledge in vehicle or vehicle component test procedures.
  • Experience with energy storage system and/or thermal management system development including test equipment, test processes, and system design processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related fields.
