Job Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing and implementing strategies to optimize energy usage across Salisbury University’s campus, including monitoring consumption, identifying efficiency improvements, managing energy-related projects, promoting sustainability initiatives, and educating faculty, staff, and students on energy conservation practices to achieve cost savings and environmental goals.
Authority and Accountability
This position reports to the AVP of Facilities and Capital Management and has no direct reports. The position is responsible for all utilities budgets.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, sustainability, or related field
- 3 years of experience in energy management or related field
- Understanding of utility markets and ability to lead energy efficiency projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience negotiating and managing power purchase agreements
- Certified Energy Manager
- Experience with EnergyCAP or Portfolio Manager
