From advanced heat transfer and fluid handling to water and marine innovation, we’re committed to creating process engineering technologies that move society forward.
Here, you’ll join a diverse and inclusive workplace built on trust, empowerment, and genuine care. A place where your leadership shapes sustainable solutions to the planet’s most urgent industrial challenges. A better world. Everyday.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Energy Divisional Manager to lead Alfa Laval’s Energy business across Oceania. This is a critical leadership role within the region and a key driver of Alfa Laval’s growth ambitions in the industrial energy transition.
Alfa Laval’s “Energy” division is focused on thermodynamic process solutions, heat exchangers, and separation technologies used in HVAC, refrigeration, mining, petrochemicals, data center and industrial processing. It is not a utility power-generation role.
As a member of the Oceania Management Team, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, driving profitable growth, and developing high‑performing teams across the Energy portfolio — transitioning traditional industrial sectors toward emerging clean technologies, mining applications, energy efficiency and decarbonisation solutions.
This role is suited to a strategic, commercially astute leader who can balance long‑term transformation with strong execution in today’s technical OEM and capital equipment market.
What You Will Do
As the leader of the Energy Division, you will:
- Champion a safe, sustainable, and compliant organisational culture.
- Deliver profitable growth across the Energy process equipment business in Australia and New Zealand.
- Develop and execute a clear divisional strategy aligned with global and regional thermal, fluid, and separation priorities.
- Drive capital equipment sales and business development across core markets, engineering projects, and strategic accounts.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing technical sales and engineering organisation, setting direction and accountability.
- Strengthen capabilities in customer centricity, system integrator channel management, and key account development.
- Identify and respond to market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging process technologies.
- Lead change initiatives to support the transition to low‑carbon and energy‑efficient industrial solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Service, Marketing, HR, Finance, and Global Energy teams to deliver integrated engineered solutions to customers.
What You Bring
- 10+ years’ experience in process engineering, industrial manufacturing, or technical OEM environments, with strong commercial exposure.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for strategy, people, and financial performance within a capital equipment or technical solutions business.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, separation, or fluid handling applications across industrial sectors.
- Proven ability to drive growth and transformation in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Strong customer focus with experience engaging senior‑level stakeholders, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and system integrators.
- Demonstrated leadership capability — you build trust, develop talent, and lead through change.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (highly preferred) or Business.
- A strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and a passion for industrial sustainability and innovation.
Please note: This role requires a strong background in industrial process equipment and technical engineering sales. Candidates with backgrounds exclusively in utility power generation, grid management, or wind/solar farm development will not be suited for this position.
