About the role:

The Enablement Lead acts as the Scrum Master for the Tribe Lead and their deputy, supporting operational excellence and strategic alignment across the tribe.

Which tasks can you expect?

  • 1. Enablement Strategy:
    o Ensure all enablement initiatives align directly with organisational goals and business outcomes.
    o Work with the Product Tribes to ensure enablement initiatives directly support product delivery goals.
    o Collaborate with data center and infrastructure partners (e.g., Network such as Cisco, and firewall such as Checkpoint) to ensure robust and secure cloud solutions.

  • 2. Tribe Support:
    o Act as a trusted advisor and deputy for the Tribe Lead, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
    o Serve as a servant leader for tribe-level operations and delivery, addressing recurring blockers and optimizing processes.

  • 3. Resource and Vendor Management:
    o Oversee internal teams, external partners, and contractors to optimise resource allocation and productivity.

    o Collaborate with their Tribe Leads to enhance the Tribe’s structure and headcount within the designated timeframe, while working to allocate a budget to tribes for maximum value.
    o Collaborate with procurement and legal teams. Ensuring optimal accountability and governance. Focus on negotiating and streamlining our licensing and partner agreements.
    o Drive continuous improvement of partner performance through regular reviews and actionable insights.
    o Monitor dependencies across the tribe and escalate issues to ensure timely resolution.
    o Working with L&D to create and manage a workforce framework and pipeline, tracking staff skills and their upskilling training plans.

  • 4. Process Improvement:
    o Drive operational efficiency by implementing and refining Lean practices across the enablement process.
    o Identify and manage inter-tribe dependencies, bottlenecks and blockers and ensure these are escalated and resolved efficiently.
    o Improve tribe onboarding, recruitment, and operational workflows in partnership with the People Team.

  • 5. Collaboration and Escalation Management:
    o Execute high-judgment decision-making for platform development-related escalations.
    o Work closely with Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and tribe members to address escalated issues and ensure alignment across teams.

  • 6. Governance and Reporting:
    o Provide oversight and governance on Capex and Opex budgets, long-term plans, and annual budget forecasting. Support the Tribe Lead and Product Owners with their budgeting.
    o Run Enablement governance meetings to provide transparency of budget, resources, blockers and issues.
    o Deliver actionable insights on team performance and enablement impact through metrics and dashboards.

  • 7. Metrics and Reporting:

    o Track key enablement metrics such as resource utilization, cycle times, and delivery rates to drive continuous improvement.
    o Provide insights to the Tribe Lead and leadership teams via dashboards and reports.

  • Onboarding Support: Support new hires through structured onboarding programs that quickly bring them up to speed with SDWorx & Technology Tribes processes, tools, and culture.

  • Feedback Loop Management: Implement effective channels for regular feedback from Tribe members to continuously enhance enablement programs.

  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Cultivate strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Actively seek and identify opportunities for improvement through collaboration.
