Job Description:

Position Salary: $55,000.00

The Employer Relations Coordinator develops, manages, and expands strategic employer engagement programs that connect students with career exploration, recruiting, and professional development opportunities. This position coordinates signature employer engagement initiatives, including Discovery Days, Job Shadow experiences, alumni mentorship initiatives, and the annual Employer Open House, while serving as the primary administrator for CareerLink (powered by 12twenty), the university's employer engagement platform.

Serving as a key operational and relationship-management resource, the coordinator cultivates partnerships with employers, academic units, alumni, and university stakeholders, ensuring employers receive timely support and access to recruiting opportunities. The position coordinates employer engagement requests, supports recruiting activities, manages employer communications, maintains engagement data, and develops processes that enhance employer participation in the student recruiting experience.

Working collaboratively with the Employer Relations and Career Readiness teams within Career Services, the coordinator identifies new partnership opportunities, strengthens existing employer relationships, and develops scalable engagement models aligned with Career Services' strategic priorities. This role balances program management with operational excellence by evaluating outcomes, improving systems and workflows, and implementing innovative approaches that expand employer and alumni engagement.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, and assessment of employer engagement programs and initiatives that connect employers, alumni, and students through experiential learning, career exploration, networking, recruiting, and professional development opportunities.

  • Serve as an administrator for CareerLink (powered by 12twenty), managing employer account approvals, recruiting access, employer communications, system resources, and employer support while maintaining data integrity and compliance with university policies.

  • Deliver high-quality customer service by communicating professionally, responding promptly to requests, and fostering a welcoming and supportive experience for all employers.

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employers, alumni, academic units, faculty, and university partners to support Career Services initiatives, employer recruiting efforts, and expanded engagement opportunities.

  • Coordinate employer engagement requests originating from faculty and academic units by connecting employers with Career Readiness team members, maintaining engagement timelines, and supporting strategic participation in classroom presentations, industry panels, experiential learning, and other academic initiatives.

  • Coordinate employer and stakeholder communications, scheduling, logistics, and participant support to ensure successful delivery of programs, recruiting activities, signature events, and engagement initiatives.

  • Recruit, engage, and steward employers, alumni, and other external partners to participate in Career Services programs, recruiting events, and strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Career Services staff and campus partners to identify, develop, and implement employer engagement opportunities that align with departmental priorities and student career readiness goals.

  • Maintain accurate employer records, engagement histories, participation metrics, and program documentation; analyze data to evaluate outcomes, identify trends, improve processes, and inform strategic decision-making.

  • Represent Career Services at employer engagement activities, recruiting events, university meetings, and community partnerships, serving as a professional ambassador for the department.

  • Support departmental operations through committee participation, special projects, assessment activities, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement of employer engagement systems, workflows, and processes.

  • Develop and implement strategies that advance the strategic growth of Employer Relations by identifying emerging partnership opportunities, expanding employer and alumni engagement, evaluating new program models, improving operational efficiencies, and recommending innovative initiatives that support departmental and divisional priorities.

  • Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders while balancing competing priorities, timelines, and deadlines.

  • Experience collaborating with faculty, academic units, or higher education partners to facilitate employer engagement initiatives.

  • Experience coordinating events or programs ranging from small-group experiences to large-scale employer engagement or recruiting initiatives.

  • Experience developing employer communications, presentations, training materials, or operational resources.

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting program and engagement data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for program growth, operational efficiency, and process improvement while implementing innovative solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage audiences, including employers, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative technologies including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, or Google Workspace.

Working Environment:

Career Services serves ASU students and new graduates through engagement opportunities tailored to their unique backgrounds, identity, talents, experiences, academic preparation and professional goals.

Our focus is to ensure Career Readiness as defined by the National Association of Colleges & Employers: Career Readiness is the attainment and demonstration of requisite competencies that broadly prepare college graduates for a successful transition into the workplace. We help them succeed at every step of their career development process from learning about majors and career options, to finding an internship or first job out of college. We offer professional career advice and are a valuable resource for job outlook, salary and employment trend information. Our office works through a career development model focused on career interests. This career interest areas model allows students to break out of the confines of viewing career opportunities based solely on college majors and opens the door to a larger variety of post-graduation options. This model influences our career & professional development curriculum, as well as, our engagement with employers.

Career Services provides commensurate programs, services, and resources at all four Phoenix area locations, as well as ASU Online. Staff work collaboratively with Career Services leadership and staff at each location, and as part of the Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) Vice Presidential area. EOSS provides the ASU student community with support services, involvement opportunities and a rich Sun Devil experience to assist students in achieving their personal and academic goals.
