JOB SUMMARY
The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for guiding consistent application of HR policies, practices and regulatory compliance with employees and leadership; planning and facilitating reward and recognition events. Incumbent researches and educates employees and leadership on HR topics; advises on HR policy and procedural revisions and assists with regular data requests for outcomes of HR metrics.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guides and assists LMH Associates and management by providing direction and ensuring compliance regarding LMH policy and practices; state and federal employment regulations; and LMH’s corrective action process.
- Follow-up and resolve employee inquiries in a timely manner.
- Prepare documents for legal review.
- Assist in gathering data, analysis and compiling reports for HR metrics.
- Works with the Employee Relations Manager to address areas of concern. Provides management with reports on employee relations issues and provides possible resolutions.
- Participate on committees as requested.
- Assist with HR department customer service when necessary
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Two years prior employee relations experience; to include application of employment law, i.e. FMLA, ADA, FLSA etc.
- Exhibits strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- PHR/SPHR certification
