The Global People Relations team at Guidewire is seeking an Employee Relations practitioner to support our business and colleagues across APAC and EMEA with critical employee lifecycle interventions.The key aim of Guidewire's Global Employee Relations team is to promote a safe, fair and trusted

As an ER Partner, you will play a central role in ensuring that Guidewire’s Employee Relations processes are delivered with fairness, consistency, and care. You’ll balance both proactive and reactive work - guiding managers through complex people-focussed situations while ensuring that key processes are handled with integrity and compliance.

Job Description
Employee Relations Core Purpose
Promote a safe, fair, and trusted environment across our expanding markets; foster positive employee relations while managing risk and compliance.
Key DeliverablesEmployee Relations
Identify and mobilize fair and inclusive processes for employee concerns to be heard. ER case management, including workplace investigations and performance management processes. Expertise in ANZ, Malaysia, Japan and EMEA employment practices and ER case handling is key.
Labour Relations
Operate with strong awareness of an expanding Labour Relations landscape. Effectively engage with Employee Representative bodies, including Works Councils and Unions - as required.
Risk and Crisis Management
Utilise expertise in Employee and Labour relations and be close to organisational changes to identify potential issues, predict risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them for regions and countries. Crisis-response efforts - use sound judgment to assess and respond to high-stake employee relations issues under tight timelines.
Compliance
Conduct proactive research on upcoming legislation and compliance - refresh policy and design learning interventions to help create a clear understanding of, and appropriate use of policy - particular focus on Code of Conduct, disciplinary and grievance, and discrimination, bullying & harassment policies. Ensure internal processes and procedures are in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
Governance
Review metrics and identify trends across the region. Use data to recommend solutions to influence the trend [more of / less of]. Implement tools, processes and forums to enhance the efficiency, improvement and adherence of People Relations policies and practices.
Global Initiatives
Independently scope, manage and deliver scalable ER products such as dashboards and toolkits for global use. Expertise in supporting / leading Corporate initiatives such as new compensation scheme roll-outs, multi-market re-organisations. Previous experience of ER systems implementation is a distinct plus.Responsibilities also include maintaining ER records and reporting, supporting policy adherence, guiding managers on best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of ER processes and tools.
This role requires strong organizational discipline, sound judgment, and a passion for ensuring fairness and integrity in every People-related process.
Working Hours & Regional CoverageThis role supports Employee Relations activity across both APAC and EMEA and therefore requires flexibility in working hours to ensure effective coverage across multiple time zones.
The successful candidate will partner regularly with leaders, HR colleagues, and employees across Asia Pacific and Europe. As a result, working hours will not always align to a standard local business day.
The role holder will be expected to:
Provide support across APAC and EMEA markets, balancing coverage requirements across regions.
Participate in meetings and case discussions outside standard local business hours where business needs require.
Adjust working patterns as appropriate to support critical employee relations matters, investigations, organisational change activity, and stakeholder engagement.
Work flexibly to ensure continuity of support while maintaining sustainable working practices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification(s):
Experience in employee relations within a multinational or technology-driven organization.
Proven ability to manage sensitive employment processes such as workplace investigations, performance improvement plans (PIPs), involuntary exits, or probation reviews with professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.
Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously — from intake, documentation, and coordination through to closure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and empathetic messaging to managers and employees globally.
High standards of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail when handling employment data, documentation, and sensitive employee information.
Working knowledge of employment frameworks and compliance considerations across multiple regions.
Preferred Qualification(s):
Demonstrated capability in ER processes end-to-end.
Workplace investigation accreditation.
Ability to work effectively across teams, partnering with Managers, Business Partners, Legal, and Centres of Excellence to deliver consistent and compliant outcomes.
Comfortable managing structured workflows and tracking deliverables against defined SLAs.
Process improvement mindset — proactively identifies and implements ways to streamline and standardize ER processes.
Resilient and adaptable in managing time-sensitive matters, balancing precision and empathy under pressure.
