We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a graduate in our Law, OHS, Employee Relations, and Employment Equity portfolio. 

This opportunity offers hands-on experience in labour law, employee relations, employment equity, occupational health and safety, and regulatory compliance, while providing exposure to HR, Legal, and operational functions within the business.

Responsibilities

Occupational Health & Safety 

  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of Occupational Health and Safety programmes.
  • Participate in workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Support incident investigations and the compilation of investigation reports.
  • Monitor compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety procedures.
  • Assist with safety training, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain health and safety records, registers, and documentation.

Employee Relations 

  • Assist with employee relations administration and record keeping.
  • Support disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, and consultation processes.
  • Attend hearings and employee relations meetings and assist with minute-taking and documentation.
  • Assist with investigations into employee relations matters and workplace incidents.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence relating to employee relations activities.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and conflict resolution processes.

Employment Equity 

  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of the Employment Equity Plan.
  • Support Employment Equity Committee activities and meetings.
  • Assist in preparing Employment Equity reports and submissions.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyse employment equity data and statistics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) 
  • Exposure in an Occupational Health & Safety environment will be advantageous.
