About the role

As an Employee Relations Consultant, Assistant Vice President, you will provide expert advice and support to business divisions and corporate functions in Poland, ensuring the effective management of internal and external employee relations matters and associated risks, including legal, financial, and reputational risk.

The Employee Relations team plays a critical role in the overall success of the organisation. Across the globe, State Street supports institutional investors in managing risk, responding to challenges, and driving performance. To enable this, Employee Relations partners with the business to advise on a wide range of workplace matters and to support the consistent and fair management of employee concerns across the organisation.

In this role, you will support managers in navigating complex and sensitive people issues by applying sound judgement, policy expertise, and a strong understanding of risk. You will strive for commercially appropriate and thoughtful solutions, while helping to build manager capability, promote engagement, and reinforce consistent employee relations standards within a global and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end employee relations cases, including disciplinary matters, grievances, performance improvement processes, investigations, redundancies, and involuntary terminations.

  • Advise and coach managers on the appropriate handling of sensitive employee relations matters in line with internal policies, procedures, and applicable employment regulations.

  • Lead and support employee relations investigations, including interviews, fact-finding, documentation, analysis, and outcome recommendations.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent, well-governed, and defensible outcomes.

  • Provide guidance on individual and collective consultation processes, including preparation of documentation and employee communications.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records, ensuring governance standards and audit readiness.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of employee relations processes, tools, and practices.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Employee Relations or a related Human Resources role, operating in a consultative capacity.

  • Experience advising and influencing managers at multiple organisational levels.

  • Ability to apply policy, judgement, and risk awareness in complex or sensitive situations.

  • Good level of written and verbal English, enabling effective communication with stakeholders in a global environment.

  • Good working knowledge of Polish employment law, with the ability to apply legal requirements in practical employee relations scenarios is required.

  • A degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline is helpful but not mandatory.

  • Experience working within a multinational and/or regulated environment is preferred.

Minimum Salary:

zł182 004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
