We have an opportunity for an Employee Communication Lead, who will develop and execute on strategies to effectively communicate company news, updates, and initiatives to employees across various channels.  This individual will support the departments goals of consistent messaging that aligns with Wealth Enhancement's goals, fosters employee engagement, and strengthens company culture by working closely with senior leadership and managing internal communication channels like newsletters, intranets, and meetings.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $105,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions

Manages and executes communications and employee engagement programs, provides communications support on ad hoc basis as determined by needs of the program

  • Examples:  Wellness Program, Employee Appreciation Program

  • Create and execute project plans and, where appropriate, partner with Marketing and Human Resource colleagues and external vendors

  • Provide writing and communications consulting services to the team and, where needed, the broader firm.

  • Manage company store and provide selection of merchandise that meets the needs of employees

  • Leverage promotional items for recognition and appreciation opportunities

Leads or provides support in production of key employee meetings

  • Examples:  All-Company Meeting, Roundtable LIVE, Living Our Values Series

  • Assist with script writing and presentation development, with a key focus on PowerPoint presentations

  • Own calendar for All-Company Meeting agenda to ensure visibility of all ELT teams, serve as reliable back-up for Sr. Director to produce  

  • Take lead on proactive management of Living Our Values talent (sourcing, booking, talent management)

  • Assist in identifying and scheduling sessions in support of RTL, including video coordination, employee testimonials, script development and editing

Leads team Service Catalog activities

  • Review and update the WEG Service Catalog’s inventory; this describes our services provided to the company in communications, community involvement and employee engagement programs

    • Identify opportunities to enhance communication and engagement programs

    • Gather feedback from constituents

    • Make recommendations

      • Support change management

    • Help establish KPIs to determine team’s success level; implement reporting

Manages Communications Associate and any Intern resources

  • Assign and supervise work of Employee Communications Associate and Employee Communications Intern

  • Mentor and provide performance feedback

  • Support team’s professional development

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent

  • 5-7 years' Employee Communications Experience in a Corporate Setting

  • Supervisory skills

  • Strong writing and project management skills

  • Financial services industry experience preferred

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with leadership and all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work with and protect confidential information

  • Detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Workday preferred

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. Thus, the entire salary range for those who are classified as a individual contributor is $79,200 to $110,900.00.
